High levels of formaldehyde are known to cause cancer, birth defects, and other health problems. We have verified the levels of formaldehyde in Greenington products are very low at .01 ppm, below the standards for the state of California and Greenguard (<.05 ppm).

Each piece of their furniture is either composed of solid strips of bamboo or individual strands of bamboo fibers. The bamboo is interwoven, soaked and then pressed into a mold using a hydraulic press that heats and compresses the bamboo and transforms its color into a beautiful honey-toned caramel. Greenington pays fair wages to all their artisans and employees in China.
